Born on the mountainous grazing land of Valle d’Aosta, Fontina Italy is made exclusively from organic local cow’s milk. It’s a semi-firm cow’s milk cheese with a dark golden brown rind and a pale yellow interior dotted with small holes.

With a mild, nutty flavour and a hint of mild honey, Fontina Italy cheese flavour and taste is unmistakable. It is aged for three months to bring out its mild and nutty flavour. It melts nicely which makes it ideal for flatbreads, pizzas, quesadillas and lasagnas.

Fontina is different from other cheeses because of its sweet and pleasant taste, thanks to the moderate salting process. Fontina Cheese combines well with a slice of white bread, Wheat Beer, Riesling and Chardonnay.

This cheese is also great for many recipes including combination with honey, vegetables, artichokes, egg yolk, milk, pepper and butter. You just have to try it.

The cheese was so spoiled. I could hardly open the package for the smell. You can't leave a soft cheese, Unrefrigerated for 2 weeks
